Boris Sofman Following

Boris Sofman is an American computer scientist and entrepreneur who is known for his work in robotics and self-driving car technology. Sofman is the co-founder and former CEO of Anki, a robotics and artificial intelligence company that created consumer robots like Cozmo and Vector. Prior to Anki, Sofman was a research scientist at Carnegie Mellon University, where he focused on computer vision, machine learning, and autonomous systems. In 2018, Sofman joined Waymo, a self-driving car company owned by Alphabet Inc. (Google's parent company), as the Director of Engineering. In this role, he has been involved in the development and deployment of Waymo's autonomous vehicle technology. Sofman has been featured as a guest on the Lex Fridman Podcast, where he discussed his work in robotics and the future of self-driving cars.
